**Attention Santiam Escrow Inc. Owners - PLEASE READ**
The experience of CLOSING THE ACCOUNT has been absolutely awful!! I was contemplating on whether or not I should write a review, but then I noticed a definite trend here. Jim Templin’s employment needs to be reviewed and based on the reputation shown, he should NOT BE EMPLOYED in any capacity, especially a Financial Managerial Role! This individual treats customers with the most disgusting condescending attitude and rudest manner possible. In his emails, he would capitalize “You” as if it’s my fault for his incompetence or laziness, for his lack of accounting abilities, meanwhile costing me additional $1000’s. Unfortunately, his attitude seems to have trickled down throughout the entire company. The company’s communication with handling the closing process of the account is non-existent (even when calling multiple times), and if you plan on closing your account early, be sure to reach out IN WRITING as to the proper procedures, because they are not willing to properly assist otherwise. I’ve asked for the wiring instructions on three separate occasions and have yet to receive them. I will NEVER use this company again!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Seriously this company is awesome. I have a property under contract with them and every interaction has been great. The accounting side is clean and easy to understand. I also did a hard money loan for a friend on his property and that whole process was seamless. Highly recommend these folks.

Worst people I have ever dealt with. Was told by my boss to send a fax and they didn't want it so they kept shutting the fax down. Called to ask if the number was correct, I was super nice and polite, they kept hanging up on me. Now mind you, I had never dealt with these people, just doing my job, and doing what I was asked. I have never seen people with such horrible customer service and un-professionalism. Stay clear of these people.

We are exceedingly disappointed with Santiam Escrow. Beside difficulty in obtaining information about the reconveyance process and status from the Santiam Escrow office, nothing was explained to us properly or satisfactorily about the release/reconveyance procedure. Expectations were not correctly set regarding how the reconveyance process is done. On October 27th, the office stated that the documents for reconveyance related to the above account would be sent promptly to Ticor/FNF. But prima facie, it took three weeks for Santiam Escrow to Fedex the reconveyance documents to FNF/Ticor, received by their office November 14th, 2023. Next, it appears someone is either being untruthful or is very badly informed at the Santiam Escrow office. The owner claimed that our check for outstanding funds had been mailed to our address on October 27th, when the letter received by us (including the check) is postmarked November 14th. Once again, we are very disappointed regarding our experience with Santiam Escrow

Worst experience with an escrow company ever! They don't return calls or emails in a timely manner, I tried for 3 days to arrange disbursement of funds and got the run around. It finally took several phone calls from My attorney to the President of the company to expedite the process. I've been buying and selling real-estate for 30 years and have NEVER had this much of an issue.

Getting documentation from them or getting Jim Templin to respond to an email or phone message has taken over a month. There is no way to update information online and this antiquated company has poor customer service. I do not recommend dealing with them to handle any finances or documentation.
