The service at this facility is unacceptable. Patients are treated poorly, with some even left sleeping on the floor without air conditioning. It's outrageous that they charge insurance companies $1,000 per day per patient under these conditions. The staff is clearly understaffed and more focused on gossip and social outings than on providing proper care. This environment is completely unacceptable and deserves to be investigated by the state board. It is a truly dismal experience.

Abigail, Nurse Sherry, Nurse Liz, and the incredible team of techs—Cortez, Michael, Arielle, T, Tatiana, and Raheem—truly exemplify the heart of compassionate care. They continually go above and beyond for their patients, showing that their dedication is more than just a profession; it's a heartfelt calling to positively impact people's lives. The warmth and genuine kindness they convey in every interaction are nothing short of inspiring. Additionally, social worker Laura and Nikie stand as shining examples of selfless service, embodying the spirit of compassion in our community. I did have a huge review stating everything that’s wrong with place and only gave it one star after my first visit and only gave 1 star. After reflecting on my second visit for several months, I feel I gave this place an unfair review bc the 2 times I’ve been here, I did walk out after I received the help I needed. They always put me on helpful meds. They gave me something for anxiety the first time which is a miracle drug for me (my anxiety is like 65% better with this medication) and the second time they gave me something to help me sleep during my visit end of 2024. THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE! but what hospital isn’t? For 6 days it was $34,000. Thankfully I had medicaid both visits so I’m not stuck with a bill. People complain about the food more than they probably should. Some meals are awful but it is a hospital so the food is doomed from the beginning. There was a couple nights I didn’t eat dinner bc the food was awful and they didn’t offer sandwiches and chips like they did other days that people complained about the food. Whether they offer sandwiches and chips if u don’t like dinner really depends on the tech. Some care, some don’t but u will have everywhere. It is freezing in there so I suggest having a sweat shirt and pants if possible. They will give u a second blanket if there’s some available but again that depends on the tech and if they care. They accept clothes donations which they use for the people that don’t have any and don’t have a way to get some. I thought that was awesome. I have donated plenty of times since I’ve been out the first time. My complaint about my last visit is they ran out of room in the other section of the hospital so we had people that were worse off in the discovery section than they did last time. My roommate was violent and very loud. I asked them to move me a few times bc I was scared and felt I was in danger but they didn’t until she destroyed the room and started to try to fight everyone. Taking a shower and washing clothes but again that depends on the techs that u have that day. I didn’t have issues trying to shower or washing clothes both times I’ve been there. The only thing that was difficult to do was brush my teeth after I get up in the morning. The mornings are busy so it’s hard to find someone that’s free to help u do that at that time. When it comes to seeing a doctor well they haven’t let me down with that yet. This last time I saw a doctor the first day. Other people have had a hard time seeing doctors in there but I didn’t either time I’ve been there. I do have to say most of the techs and some doctors are very unprofessional but they get the job done. I don’t think the techs should have their phones on the floor. They play inappropriate music and play on their phones when they should b doing other things like being a one on one tech. One girl tried to commit suicide while her one on one was sitting in the window playing on her phone which is the same tech that was using face time the first time I was in there. One of the patients had to alert the tech about the girl’s suicidal attempt. They do act like u have EASY access to talk to the advocate but u r lucky if anyone shows up before u leave to talk to. After my first visit I talked to the advocate (a black man - apparently they have women one too?) and he didn’t give a crap. I told him my issues and he didn’t even acknowledge them. He acted like I’m some crazy loon that has no idea what I’m doing or thinking so talking to them is pointless and causes unnecessary frustration so it’s not worth talking to them. The groups in this place are AWESOME! the group leaders are so friendly and caring. They definitely care for sure. I recommend going to the groups. One other excuse I have is that they aren’t very good at giving u ur meds at the set times (both visits) so there were plenty of times I went without my anxiety meds for hours after they were due and most of the techs get very annoyed when u ask BUT OVERALL even with the bad, I will go back if needed.

Fraudulent billing and neglect are rampant. They do not offer the services they claim to. I didn't get therapy. I got told by a social worker to sleep to cope.

They keep patients with private insurance longer under coercion with threats of probate if a patient doesn't want to sign a voluntary admission.

Nurses openly made fun of patients with mental deficiencies.

Nurse Ken passed me meds without changing gloves after he checked someone's blood glucose. I didn't know as I had went to the bathroom and people gasped when he handed me the polls.

Dr. Rayani is a nightmare of a practitioner whose prioritization of her self interest was explicitly expressed in her plan of care.

They destroyed a grievance I filed, a serious violation of patient rights. Her mental status examinations were wildly off base. They put almost everyone on hydroxyzine to sedate people.
I reported this facility to the Joint Commission, who let me know that the investigation resulted in some punitive action regarding their eligibility to take government subsidized insurance.

I reported Dr. Rayani to the medical board that oversees psychiatrists. She is truly an evil person. I got PTSD from the way I was cornered by male patients. Staff made attempts to add me on social media, a gross violation of patient privacy and professional conduct.

I continue to fear for anyone in the care of this inept facility. It truly is that bad. Your day began with filling out a goal sheet in order to get a cigarette. You had to complete another sheet in the evening saying whether you reached that goal, again for a cigarette.

I was terrified to shower with how male staff treated me. The threat of probate for those of sound mind was disgusting. I saw actively delusional people discharged, knowing they were to resume role of caregiving to young children.
Your insurance payout dictates how long they will try to keep you. Count on the patient advocate to ignore calls.
They only stopped trying to collect thousands from me after I brought the situation to the attention of state and federal regulators.
. They took joy in covid restrictions completely barring visitors entirely.

I still have panic attacks to this day when I wake up to a ceiling that I don't recognize. It's pathetic when you have to recover from trauma inflicted upon you by those who are bound by ethics and regulations.

I'm actually just checking this place out, because as a mental health patient myself, I've definitely heard of this place. I'm not actually admitting myself, I'm just stating what I see on the reviews. I've been to a different facility, Dublin Springs (never go there), and I always find it funny when you leave horrible reviews on places like this. You point out obvious corruption and legal issues, and the facility always responds with the same canned answer, and it never gets resolved. It's funny how that works.

Overheard a staff member making fun of a person there, Which I know said person, and they were there to get better. NOT PROFESSIONAL. And no person should be treated in that manner. Anyone reading this, don't bring your loved ones here, if you want and they themselves want to get better. Utterly terrible staff, theres no compassion or care.

Saw my loved one in 3 day old blood-stained robes, hadn't been offered a shower, wildly unacceptable.
They tried to blame the patient for this when confronted about it.

the welfare of the patients is the hospitals responsibility, even more so given the nature of the patients they receive.

Quite literally the worst place to send anyone suffering from mental illness of any capacity. It is repulsive the way that the people who work here treat the patients. You wouldn’t believe some of the things those people tell you when you’re suffering from a psychotic disorder, even more disgusting is what they do to physically to some of the patients. They take advantage of knowing that nobody will believe you because of your diagnosis. Sadistic ‘people’. I hope working here doesn’t pay your bills and that one day when you’re all old and alone that you have time to reflect on how you’ve treated these people and the effect your ‘treatment’ had on them. I hope that when you think about it it haunts you and when you try to talk to someone about it and you can tell they aren’t listening it makes you feel like all of these people have felt in your ‘care’. Sleep on that.

This review was replied to and I was told to call a number with my concerns, I called this number and who would’ve guessed! No answer! I left a message with my name and phone number and asked them to give me a call back, this was about a month ago and still no word. Thank you for proving my point, truly terrible place and an even worse team.
