If you're wanting to learn about Meditation and would like to become part of a like-minded community check this place out! Every Fall and Spring the Earth & Spirit Center offers 10-week classes (a 1.5 hour class per week on your choice of weekday or weeknight). These classes were life changing for both me and my loved ones. Whether you're struggling through a challenging life transition, grieving the loss of a loved one, or just pondering the meaning of life the classes here will help you. In the Beginning Meditation class you will learn seven methods of mindfulness meditation! Joe Mitchell teaches them with fun and clarity, and covers both the Christian and Buddhism histories of meditation — which I found very enlightening.

The Earth and Spirit Center is a GEM in Louisville Kentucky. I have taken classes every spring and fall for many years. I particularly appreciate Mindfulness Meditation. You will struggle to find an instruction resource as good as this. Learning, practice, community, compassion. I wish that I would have learned Mindfulness when I was young, for the wisdom is used daily. You will learn more of how the mind works, how to BE and live in the moment and experience a more abundant life.

The Passionist Earth & Spirit Center Med 1 class changed my life & mindset!!! I am able for the first time in my life to actually be able to relax and see things in a much better light. When I do get anxious I now have the tools to calm myself & remain mindful. I could not recommend this meditation more!!! The instructor Fr Joe is absolutely incredible in his abilities & teachings. I've been attending classes at the Earth & Spirit Center over the last couple of years. The center has been a foundational resource as I began a meditation practice and began my work to be more mindful & present in my life. After starting and stopping in my journey using phone apps, the Meditation I course at the Center provided the "WHY" behind meditation and mindfulness. With that, I've been off and running. The meditation classes are rich with information and an incredible service to our community. I feel like a school kid again, reading my syllabus and doing my assigned readings. I thought I was going to strengthen my meditation skills but there is so mich more opportunity for learning as well. Father Joe is a gift in and of himself, just being in his presence brings peace and calm to the entire process. I'm so glad I finally committed to a class!

My wife and I took classes for about 5 years. It was a life changer for us. "Quiet the mind" was not in my vocabulary. I was always planning something. It took a while for me to get a handle of what to do, but that's the point. Meditation is so useful in so many ways. The only regret is not doing it sooner.
