Beautiful and breathtaking views! The grounds are stunning, and the atmosphere of peace is well maintained. This is PRIVATE property though! All visitors must check in ay the office before exploring the grounds. If there is a function you may be asked to leave. Again, this is not a public place, it is Private. Recommend calling ahead or signing up for a group to visit, do not just show up and wander. Follow those easy steps and you will have a most wonderful experience!

Linwood is a place full of serenity and beauty. The Hudson River, the birds and trees, and even the passing ships and trains added a wonderful blend of quiet stillness and calm movement to my days of retreat here.

Very beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. The accommodations were very adequate for a retreat style get away. The sisters and the staff are super friendly. The food and services are excellent. You can't beat the view of the Hudson with the island lighthouse and the barges moving up and downstream. They have some pretty busy bird feeders if you like nature and there is also an occasional bald eagle on the property. Walk up the road to see a small waterfall flowing into the Hudson.

Restful estate on east banks of the Hudson. Beautiful views of river and Catskills. Many quiet benches and well maintained nature trails. Close to several historic homes and parks.

A wonderful place - still, beautiful, and home to many, many birds. Come for a weekend retreat or a 7-day silent retreat. There are countless places to enjoy the view and even a swimming pool for use.
