Highly recommend. Matthew is one of a kind. He’s really quite gifted at what he does. You can tell that he has devoted his life to becoming a healer. I met Matthew during a very stressful and uncertain time in my life following a traumatic event. He helped start my healing process on a physical, mental and emotional level. Unfortunately I was only in New Orleans temporarily otherwise I would go to him on a regular basis. Although I only had a few sessions with Matthew he still made a lasting positive impact on my life. I am grateful to have met him.

Highly recommend Matthew for any recovery and prevention body work. His approach is different from anyone I have seen before. It is very focused and his take on energy flow within the entire body not just the area of concern was new to me. Once my acute recovery from a significant knee surgery was completed, I went to him and believe it really helped get me back to full strength. Working with Matthew at Higher Purpose Healing has been a total game changer for my athletic performance (college dance) for several reasons: recovery, alignment, and mental clarity. Long practice hours, overusing muscles, and tumbling has often left me with muscle tightness, wacky alignment and overall feeling locked up. After a session with Matthew, I am able to release that tension and regain my peak physical functioning. I notice significant improvement in my turns and stability. I am 3 one hour + 1 two hour sessions into my journey with Matthew and our healing process. I have suffered through anxiety and lack of deep sleep since I was a child and finally started seeking “alternative” methods to heal my body and mind…. During a routine night of sleeplessness I started my research and that night I found Matthew’s website. Through countless testimonials, reviews, and plentiful info on his site, I knew I needed an appointment to see for myself. After 1 session I knew I found my place, after 2 I knew I was committed to this journey, HE was committed to helping me find healing and care for it all. I completed my 4th session which was 2 hours today. I come out better and better each time and yes the healing builds and you feel changes for a week or more after therapy. My goal is to be medicine free in the future and I believe now that it is possible and even better.

A final note, for many of us this healing is “pricier” than massage or other therapies… as it should be, Matthew pours himself into every single minute with every patient. There is a reason for that and you will see why but how about some perspective and justification from a New Orleanian. My husband and I enjoy food as a hobby and date nights, when we “take it a little lighter,” we will still spend $200 HAPPILY and enjoy every bite and sip of our time together. When we want to treat ourselves to a nicer experience or a new hot spot; we will drop $400 on drinks, dinner, laughter, and a date without questioning our expense. I thought to myself… If I happily spend $200-400 on nicer meals a few times a month (it’s not lost on me that I am blessed to do this), then why would I not INVEST in my well being and mental health and body health for the same price? I question it no more!

I hope you will try Matthew if you’re seeking something more than you’re getting now, you are worth the highest investment in yourself.

Matthew has been great at helping with longer term healing issues, such as strengthening the body going forward to prevent reinjury and healing from the inside out, for example providing general insights on mental states that can lead to injury. I really appreciate his advice and care.
