They were great at first, but then the doctors started to change every few months so that made getting evaluated for a diagnosis difficult. Then when I got frustrated that the way I was being questioned wasn't getting a good picture of my day-to-day struggle because every hour is a different battle, plus it made me feel uncomfortable. My doctor responded with "that's my job" no attemt to compromise and I was too emotional to comunicate and not have the wrong tone or wording (that's a daily struggle that's worse with emotions) and have learn its best to walk away and try communicating when I'm calm. But leaving early after trying to explain myself on multiple ocations is considered rude/disrespectful.
So if your neurodivergent or think you could be look else where, they don't acomidate as possible

Anthony is an absolute blessing I have seen many psychiatrist many counselors over the years with my mom and he blows them out of the water he is amazing compassionate and everyone should be able to go to him.

I have been with Fulton Family for a few years now and I am very happy with them. Dr.Matip has gone above and beyond for me and she really does care, more than most doctors. She spends the time to explain things and I do not feel like I am just a number to her. Fulton family psychiatry has been wonderful to me. I have been talking with Deanna now for several months. She has been a God send. I'm finally on medication that are working for me. I'm on a sleeping pill that I wish I could be a spokesperson for. I haven't had this much consistent sleep in I don't know how long. I look forward to our conversations every week. She has gone above and beyond for me. I genuinely love our conversations. I can't express how much joy that young lady has given me.

Annabelle is a great therapist. She makes you feel comfortable while speaking with her. I initially started therapy, because I was terminated from my job and I am pregnant. I fell into deep depression and experienced anxiety I was never used to. Annabelle has helped me through that rough experience. She started me on a Magnesium for my anxiety, which I did not even know helped with anxiety. It has helped me greatly and speaking with her about the experience, also has helped especially being pregnant. While pregnant I have been going through an emotional roller coaster and losing my job made it even worse. During the course of my pregnancy she has helped me understand what it is to give natural birth all while having a back up plan as well. She has helped me with making sure my nutrition and mental health is upheld properly especially for my baby. She answers all of my questions fully and has educated me on the importance of self care as well. I would recommend Annabelle to anyone who is pregnant or just needs helps with anxiety/depression. She's a great provider to speak with and I look forward to continuing therapy with her. Thanks Annabelle!

I found FFP and Dr. Matip via the Mad In America provider directory, and I am SO THANKFUL there is a psychiatry practice in upstate NY with providers whose approaches align with my goals (i.e., holistic treatments and getting OFF the horrid psych meds that I never should have been put on). They even take my insurance!! They took the time to walk me through all the new patient paperwork on the phone, which was appreciated, and I was able to get an intake appointment with Bobby (P.A.) in less than 10 days. I was referred to Dr. Matip soon after and appreciated how much time she spent with me in our first two appointments. Dr. Matip is no-nonsense, very knowledgeable, responsive to my needs and questions between appointments, and most importantly, not beholden to the pharmaceutical industry... I had nearly lost all my faith and trust in the medical system, but Dr. Matip has given me hope. Everyone at FFP has been incredibly empathetic and helpful. Highly recommend!!

I came to Dr. Matip during a scary time for myself mentally. The symptoms I was experiencing were nuanced and I was trying to strike a balance between recovering, maintaining employment & avoiding the process of taking random medications hoping that they helped that I've avoided the past few years. I have been so honestly shocked at just how thorough the process has been just far. How in-depth Dr. Matip's responses are and how much specificity she has captured in just a brief time. Her first line of defense is everything but medications that can have life-altering complications and a compassionate lense to a tricky mental health history. I was feeling so scared about where things are heading and I feel relieved knowing I have found a highly competent psychiatrist, who cares, and isn't quick to judge but also stands behind the knowledge that she has. I'm just feeling really thankful about the whole thing - to have someone in my corner who really gets how I want to go about my own healing.
