I would definitely recommend the course, ‘Neuroscience: Understand how your students learn’ to colleagues.
The course is mainly taught by Jenn and in my opinion, the fact that she’s a native speaker is an absolute plus. From the beginning it was obvious we were dealing with a true professional. Analysing people and behaviours comes natural to Jenn, who has a degree in psychology. I believe her background in psychology truly benefits the course. It’s obvious that Jenn has a lot of knowledge on the course’s subject. This made it easier for us as students to study the subject in depth, as Jenn was able to explain the concepts to us with natural ease. Jenn’s natural authority contributed greatly to the group dynamics and contributed to creating a safe space for the group- which consisted of people from all over Europe.

The following subjects that were taught in the course inspired me the most: Sensory Perception, Memory & Attention, Pretesting and curiosity, The role of emotions / Stress and motivation.

I attended a very valuable course, the main topic of which was: Conflict Management, Emotional Intelligence and Bullying Prevention. The trainer combined theoretical and practical knowledge very well, always paying attention to reflection and group work. The location was a wonderful, life-changing experience.

Corso ben organizzato e tenuto da un vero professionista, che ha sempre saputo tenere viva l'attenzione. La sede del corso è in un edificio storico del centro de La Laguna, a pochi passi dal centro storico della città e dai mezzi pubblici (guaguas-autobus e tramvia).
Interessante la visita guidata del centro città offerta nel primo pomeriggio, e davvero imperdibile l'escursione in bu privato, sempre offerta, al vulcano Teide.

I had an amazing experience with this course on the nature and history of Tenerife. The trainers, Moon, Dominic, and Maja, were very dedicated and engaging. I learned new teaching methods that I can apply in my own classroom. The activities were fantastic and well-organized. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere among the trainers and participants, making the course even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The Mindfulness for Teacher: a Hands-on Approach course took place from November 25th to 30th 2024 in Tenerife, Canary Islands.

The main goal of the course was to educate teachers about the basics of mindfulness and its benefits for personal well-being, as well as how these techniques can applied in our teaching environment. Mindfulness helps reduce stress and increase focus, benefiting teachers and students.

The course covered various mindfulness techniques and approaches. Participants, a group of 6 teachers, were engaged in discussions and workshops were we exchanged experiences and advices on how to integrate mindfulness into our teaching practices. We learned how to create a calm and supportive classroom environment, where students are more focused and less stessed. We also improved our personal ability to manage stress. It was an excellent oportunity for teachers to enhance our mental and emotional resilience. The program allowed us to develop a personal mindfulness practice.

During my visit to Tenerife, I had the opportunity to explore numerous interesting places. I lived in the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the course was in the historic town San Cristóbal de La Laguna, and I also visited in the north of the island Puerto de la Cruz, where I explored the famous botanical garden. Next, I visited Adeje, known for its beautiful beaches, and El Teide, the highest mountain in Spain. It’s one of the most impressive natural landmarks. I didn’t take a cable car to the base of the volcano, but I enjoyed breathtaking views all around the place.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Europass Teacher Academy for the incredible opportunity to be part of this professional journey through the Erasmus+ program. The course was an invaluable experience that provided me with precious knowledge and skills in the field of mindfulness, which I can now apply both in my teaching practice and in my personal life.
I will be happy to stay in contact with new colleagues from various countries and exchange experiences, and to share the knowledge and experiences I gained with my students and colleagues.
