Started to sign up for therapy. Found out they charge $170 out of pocket for the intake session. Reached out for financial assistance and the email was left unanswered. I didn't finish signing up and was charged a 52 dollar no show fee. Reached out to figure out what the charge was and received an email within minutes.

For someone already struggling with mental health and money, this is very disappointing and honestly makes me not trust this company with my mental health. This place seems like more of a cash grab than some place to seek help.

I highly suggest Ebb & Flow to anyone looking for individual, couples, or group therapy. The therapists are well trained and culturally aware. My experience over the last 4 years has been truly life changing. The admin staff is always so kind and responsive. Anytime my insurance has changed billing policies the team is prompt in issuing me credits or refunds, without me even needing to reach out. The 24-hour cancellation policy for sessions is very fair, standard within the industry, and helps to hold me accountable. In the rare instance that I’ve had a true emergency prohibiting me from making an appointment my therapist has always been understanding and moved my appointment with no issues.

The receptionist is very unprofessional. Before my first appointment I submitted my insurance card and was waiting for an email about insurance coverage. I didn’t hear back until 4 days before the appointment so I called only to hear that my insurance card expired. I think I should have been notified sooner so I can update it before my appointment. So I cancelled and confirmed with my insurance company that it’s covered. Because it’s been an unexpected hassle, I scheduled and cancelled once again and rescheduled. When I called the receptionist to confirm that they have my current insurance card, she told me I’m messing up their schedule. I might have scheduled and cancelled once, but that’s the feature your app provides and on top of that, I wouldn’t have had to do that if you promptly conveyed the information that I needed to hear instead of making a client wait and call just a few days before an appointment.
She told me they’d have to charge me $170 for the first visit because they wouldn’t hear from insurance company within a few days and they’ll issue a refund once they receive the coverage from the insurance. Based on the reviews, I lost trust that they’d even refund it promptly after my insurance approves. So even before my first visit I decided not to waste my time and energy. You need to improve client service.

Truly a wonderful environment. I highly suggest in-person sessions because the space is wonderful. I felt so calm and welcome. My therapist was selected for me by the staff based on my traits and needs and I think it’s perfect for me.

I’ve been consistently seeing a therapist from Ebb and Flow for a year now and I really enjoy my experience here. My appointments are all virtual. This is the most open and comfortable I’ve felt with a therapist. I have no problems scheduling and my therapist communicates well in advance if there is a conflict with scheduling. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable therapy environment.
