Made an appointment via the website to be assigned to a certain therapist who specialized in what I was looking for. When the receptionist called me she said “oh here it says you are looking for … this person is much better suited for that, let’s get you switched up”

No offense, the lady was nice but she had no idea what to do and it honestly could have been a very drastic situation. It was very clear they were just trying to fill spots. If you need to pay for a friend, go here.. If you need an educated therapist, keep searching. I will be refusing to pay for the visit.

I went here for several weeks to Mr. Trent Tagart and felt I really gained a lot from him. My complaint is that I wanted a more Christian based perspective and felt this didn't make it into the conversation. That aside he had great strategies and I fully believe and endorse his methods for relationship counseling. My other complaint would be that they don't seem very organized in regards to billing as they said they were up and running with my EAP but then couldn't figure out how to bill things and ended up trying to bill me directly rather than work with my EAP. When I went to the EAP to say what is going on - the EAP said they had not been contacted by Cultivation. That aside - I fully recommend Trent.

From the other reviews I think we must not be the norm. We scheduled with Cultivation becsuse they had the quickest opening for an appointment for our 12 year old son (3 weeks). Every other place had no openings for new clients or months of waitlist before being able to see a provider. We took our son to see Otto, an older gentleman, because of school issues and debilitating anxiety. We had a few sessions, and while Otto had a genuine desire to help and was friendly, he talked about himself the entire session each time. We learned all about his life, his careers, places he has lived, his international travel, etc, and our son barely talked. While it was good to get to know Otto, listening to him visit about his life isn't exactly what we had in mind when we went there for help. We got the bills and he charges $100.00 for each 45 minute session. I don't know what the going rate is for counseling when there isn't insurance to cover the cost, but we opted to stop going and explored other options at that point. I wish we would have been scheduled with one of the other providers like Dan or Trent who have amazing reviews, I don't know maybe they don't work with kids. If you opt to go to Cultivation, insist on one of the other providers, they have great reviews and some research after the fact shows some phenomenal leadership there. Our experience was disappointing, fairly expensive, and not at all helpful.

left me on a waiting list for 3 months, found a therapist for me, set up an appointment & then received a text telling me now that this therapist thinks i won't be a good fit for them and i'm still on the waiting list. alright. 2-3 weeks hear nothing, they usually call or text to make sure services are still needed so i reached out to them & now they don't take medicaid so they won't help, and gave me a total option of 2 referrals that they had no clue if they had any immediate openings or anything about them when asked. not even an apology for never reaching out and wasting so much of my time. i don't think they actually care about their cliental trying to get in, whoever answers the phone sounds annoyed naturally and doesn't give nearly enough information. the biggest waste of time and i ended up without any service. wouldn't recommend unless you have 3+ months to spare.

I went to the treatment center which is attached to Cultivation Counseling. The therapists here are horrible and barely qualified. They’re incredibly rude and only want to change you into what they consider the “perfect” person. None of the therapists here treat you with respect. If you’re looking for a good therapist, don’t come here.

There are a few counselors available, but I am so disappointed in how this company works. Everything is based out of Boise, so there aren’t any psychiatric practitioners available to help that are local. They schedule tele-health appointments and the patient portal they use isn’t great, so it’s constantly dropping.
If you need help any time soon, I do not recommend trying this place.
I hope they can do better in the future.

I truly believe everyone can benefit from finding a good “sounding board” in there life. Whether you are struggling in some aspect of your life or not, having an outlet outside of your everyday support system to discuss concerns, relationships, and the challenges of life is a great tool to keep your life in check. I highly recommend Trent at cultivation counseling, is easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and can help you develop some great tools for establishing balance in your life!

I’ve been with my therapist here for years and couldn’t be happier! I’ve been to both Cd’A & Post Falls locations and it’s been great. I recommend them to anyone looking for help and have a few friends who have also become clients here!
