I had hernia repair surgery this morning. I have to give credit to the nurses and staff. They were amazing and so nice! They were so caring, helpful, and informative. They went above and beyond. Thank you also to Dr. Chadwell for always doing a wonderful job! Much love to Baptist Hardin!

My husband came via Ambulance and had been waiting for 4 hours and still has not seen a nurse or a doctor. I understand that Dr's see patients by priority. This hospital has no concern for their patients they are just packing people in to make more money. After 6 hours we signed out AMA.

This hospital is crap due to doctors and high ups not actually having care for anyone that comes here. Everything is uncomfortable. 2 hours in waiting room and 4 hours in a room. Still no doctor to come and see you... you can go a whole night and never see a doctor... but please be understanding for their time... they are not understanding for your time. Can't say anything with out them saying it's harassment... you could literally be burning or dying in front of them and there will be no care or urgency. You could die in the waiting room and they wouldn't noticed.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
On 12/21 I took my two year old son to Norton’s urgent care where he was diagnosed with RSV. The physician there wanted me to take him to the ER due to mild rib retractions when he would breathe. The ER doctor monitored his oxygen ( which stayed around 96/97) told me that he looked alright, told me what to look out for, then sent us home. I was fine with that, although he was grumpy, he was alert, talking, drinking, etc.

On 12/22 my son started to decline. He would barely drink, it was hard to get him to wake up, he just wanted to sleep - just all around lethargic. This went on all day. My husband took him back to the ER, where they waited in the waiting room for 3 1/2 hours, monitored for an hour & a half then released. His oxygen was in the low 90’s/ high 80’s, they didn’t seem concerned with that or the fact he was barely drinking. I was at home with our other two sick kiddos ( plus I was sick too, that’s why I didn’t go) when my husband told me that they were sending them home. I tried calling to speak to a nurse, just trying to understand why he wasn’t at least getting an IV ( at this point he hadn’t drank anything since that afternoon & it was only a few sips) & they were so rude. When I tried explaining why I wasn’t there & my concern the girl hung up on me.

On 12/23 my son took a turn for the worst. He could barely hold his eyes open, couldn’t stay awake, he was belly breathing, I took his oxygen at home & it was in the low 80s. So, I called 911. Within an hour of arriving at the hospital we were informed that we were getting admitted to Norton’s children hospital . His oxygen was in the low- mid 80’s. He was diagnosed with acute hypoxia respiratory failure.

I’ve been told by several doctors that my son’s situation should’ve NEVER came to that. On 12/22 he shouldn’t have been sent home. I put my trust into this hospital & the doctors who work there, only to be brushed off & treated horribly. If I knew then what I know now I would’ve taken my boy straight to Norton’s.

Do better Baptist Health Hardin.

Terrible service the nurses and doctors didn't care about helping my sister and was taking forever with everything. It took 40 minutes for the nurse to bring her discharge papers. And they were slow and taking there sweet ass time with everything and didn't even come check on her once to see how she was doing. I definitely don't recommend this hospital for anyone if they are in desperate need.

My grandmother was recently admitted and was severely mistreated by the cafeteria staff. She was just strong enough to eat and no one came to even ask her what she wanted even though we heard them next to us asking others. When they finally brought her something she asked if she could get another option since she had just had that meal and the lady slammed the plate down. After that another worked brought the exact same meal. The following day the worker came to drop off her lunch and it was the same thing and he just smiled at her. That is severely disrespectful. I know this doesn't apply to everyone that works there but it's not hard to show some kindness.

5th floor nurses and pray I just got released from room 510 on Tuesday 1/28/25. On that floor that was the absolute best patient care you could ever ask for. The staff made me feel like I was part of there immediately. Family they made sure I never needed or wanted anything. When my mom was there they took just of good care for her as they did me. I'm so impressed with the care I received they are amazing nurses are Candace,Kristen, Bekah. PCA are Baylee and Ashlee i don't the others name. Thank you 5th floor for you exceptional care given.
