Be warned! Ambitions of Idaho doesn’t care about your home! We rented a house to their clients who did $65,000 damage to the property and they won’t pay for any of the damages or lost rent. They claim it’s the tenants responsibility. But they manage the tenants money. It’s the biggest scam! They don’t properly care for their clients, and don’t care about your property. Think twice before renting to AMBITIONS OF IDAHO!!

I'm the Father / Guardian / Conservator of a severely autistic son, who received "care" at Ambitions of Idaho (AOI), both in North Idaho and in Nampa for many, many years. Initially, I was "in love" with AOI / Nampa, as they gave me the opportunity to have my son nearby, versus having to take the Boise-Spokane flight to North Idaho every month or so, to see my son.

Sadly during COVID, the availability of workers to fill key positions for my son's one-on-one care dropped dramatically. Instead of retaining quality staffers with better pay and benefits, AOI opted to concentrate the money with the higher-paid, managerial staff, thereby allowing COVID to decimate the majority of quality, caring staff, leaving my son extremely vulnerable to the whims and reckless treatment that accompanied lower-paid staff whose entire motive for working at AOI ResHab homes was to get paid until they found something better elsewhere. During this time, I would frequently see my son with two black eyes and upon making complaints to AOI was consistently told that this "condition" resulted from his increased SIB (self-injurious behavior), namely head-banging. I made complaints to Adult Protective Services, but nothing ever came of it, to the best of my knowledge.

Since my son left AOI (he now resides at a better-run, higher-paying facility) in DEC 2021, he has NEVER experienced the "black-eye syndrome" and his behaviors are considerably improved! The staff members stay put, share encouraging stories with me and look me in the eye when doing so!

I've heard that AOI is no longer in business, which if true, is a blessing for southwest Idaho. In the event that AOI is still in business, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that the reader of this review IMMEDIATELY eliminate AOI from consideration as a ResHab option for their developmentally-disabled charge!

"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" did indeed exist right here in sleepy southwestern Idaho. Again, DO NOT even remotely consider AOI as a ResHab option for your developmentally-disabled son, daughter or friend, as they WILL be neglected (at a minimum) and will most-likely be ABUSED soon after their "admission" into the AOI "Cuckoo's Nest".

The therapist is great! One of the best I've had. However scheduling with them is a nightmare. Initially it took them over a month to get me in. Whenever I call to reschedule I almost never get a callback. When I do it's from the cour de lane office and nobody ever knows who make the call or who I am. I get stuck getting transferred a bunch of times and eventually get sent to Boise where they they have no clue who called me in the first place.
If I didn't like my therapist so much I would have gone somewhere else but I really don't want to start over again with a new therapist.

My daughter was sent to the Caldwell office for counseling service. She had 2 sessions before the covid19 hit. We showed up at the office for her session one day & the doors were locked & notice about telehealth sessions, however, no one had informed us of the change. We also didn't receive any type of call for a session that day. The next week her counselor called 15 minutes late & then only spoke to her for 10 minutes. The week after that we never received a call at all. I called the office to complain about the inconsistencies & why didn't we receive our call. They tried to reach out the counselor & apparently she didn't respond to them so they told me they would assign us a new one. I've waited 3 weeks now & haven't heard anything from anyone so I called their office today & was informed that they cancelled my daughters sessions all together!! This place doesn't seem to have their act together & know what they are doing. If you can get in elsewhere, I would.

My 8 year old daughter wasn't able to see her counselor after 3 consecutive cancellations. They never mentioned this to me when I cancelled the appointments. They even called and remind me about the cancelled appointments and never let me know we would be unable to make appointments after missing them. So now my daughter is expected to open up to a new counselor about her fathers death. Terrible practice. Really feel like they don't care about their patients. It was hard enough to get a referral having only Medicaid and they completely let her down. So disappointed I encouraged her to open up to these people.

Scheduling and call backs are a joke. Every time you call they say we will have someone call you back and then after a month and you calling every week someone calls you. There system is set up very poorly for scheduling and making scheduling changes. I like the counselor and the other practitioner I see but the scheduling service is terrible. Also they do not provide decent receipts and cannot give you a print out at time of service except a silly credit card receipt that has no information on it.

The staff is awesome and went above and beyond for me in many more ways then one. The med mngmnt docs are awesome and I had the pleasure of seeing two different counselor's. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

This is a very small part of what we dealt with. Our special needs daughter ran out of diabetic supplies, this is not acceptable. Medications had to be brought from main office in Nampa to Boise could take several days to a week. There was Theft and pawning, Intimidation, Physical abuse (this was the point they could no longer ignore the problem) The in house workers were wonderful people with their hands full and we appreciate them. Main office has issues!
