Honest price and quality work

I had an amazing experience at A Star! The staff was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable from the moment I walked in. A Star transmission will take good care of you. You will get a fair price for a rebuild guaranteed for one year. Ask for Neil, he's very patient and a really nice dude. He will take good care of you. Please note this is a very busy shop and for good reason, please understand they may need a couple of weeks to get work finished. Worth the wait in my opinion.

Worst customer service from the guy at the desk, they did not want to honor the warranty. Got my transmission rebuilt in early May, had to take it back 5 different times because it was still having issues. Finally picked it up today after another month of them having it this last time. If it weren't for Sam, my truck would still be sitting there. Guy at the front desk is very unprofessional, I've heard nothing but bad experiences, and today spoke facts about how bad this place is. Would not recommend A-Star to anyone in my family or close friends.

Very disappointed with service. I've used this shop before and had NO ISSUES. This time car is having issues going into 2nd. Have taken car back 2 times. They say they can't find the issue.
Car runs well when they have it. Only got a 12 month 12000 mile warranty and paid $2600 CASH. When we picked up 2nd time. my son was told to wait for car to break down. WHAT can you believe this? What has happened to SAM'S pride in his work? How can this business treat customers like this? Will never recommend to friends and family.

If you have a transmission problem, this is the ONLY place to go. Ron explained every little detail on the problem with my transmission. He and his crew rebuilt my 35 year old transmission back to like new. Great job and great service, and great price. Ron went out of his way to locate the parts needed complete the job. Very helpful, my family has been coming where since I was 10 years old, from our smallest problems to the biggest. The manager Anil is a very good educator he will make you understand what needs to be changed or replace and why in detail. The owner Sam always works with you. I always recommend this place to everyone who has car issues.

Fast efficient service ! I came in overwhelmed with my car troubles. My husband works offshore and I know nothing about cars , my four month old son was screaming!! The staff was so nice they knew exactly what was wrong with my car and even took time to play with my son they had him laughing. Sam the mechanic who serviced my car was very friendly and had my car back to life with in hours !! I am very pleased with this business ! Fast friendly family oriented mechanic shop and very affordable. I will come back again and again with any of my future car issues.
